What I learnt Today

Today we watched the video of presentations from past years.  This both worried and surprised me.  I was shocked that those delivering the papers did not seem to have done any original research.  I believe the modules were fairly similar and so I was struck by how little was included.  Much of it seemed to be referencing past work.  I have a plan to conduct my own small scale research and so I am surprised that none of them appeared to.

The vast majority of these presentations were very boring, maybe it was because I was watching them on a screen rather than in person but I found myself nodding off.  I am beginning to worry that I am this boring when I present
